Your trust matters. This policy explains, in plain language, what data Jawbly handles and how we protect it, for you and for your customers.

Who we are

Jawbly (“Jawbly”, “we”, “us”) provides a platform that lets businesses build and run AI assistants on WhatsApp. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

It covers our website, dashboard, and services. If you use Jawbly on behalf of a business, that business is the controller of its customers’ data and Jawbly acts as its processor.

Information we collect

We collect the following categories of information:

  • Account data: your name, email, password (hashed), and business details you provide.
  • Business content: assistants, skills, catalog and records you create in the dashboard.
  • Conversation data: messages exchanged between your customers and your assistant on WhatsApp, and the contacts they come from.
  • Usage data: how you use the dashboard, device and log information, and diagnostic data.
  • Billing data: your billing profile and payment records. Card details are handled by our payment processor and never stored by us.

How we use information

We use information to:

  • Provide, operate and improve the service, including generating assistant replies.
  • Route conversations, capture orders and leads, and produce your analytics.
  • Process payments, prevent fraud, and provide support.
  • Communicate with you about your account and important changes.
  • Meet legal, security and compliance obligations.

We do not sell your personal information or your customers’ personal information.

Service providers we rely on

To run the service we share limited data with trusted providers acting on our instructions:

  • Meta (WhatsApp Business Platform) to send and receive messages on your connected number.
  • AI model providers to generate assistant responses from conversation context.
  • Our payment processor to handle subscriptions, top-ups and invoices.
  • Cloud hosting, storage and email providers that power the platform.

These providers may process data under their own terms and privacy policies. We use them only to deliver the service to you.

WhatsApp and your customers

When a customer messages your WhatsApp number, their message and profile name are processed so your assistant can reply and so you can see the conversation in your dashboard.

You are responsible for handling your customers’ data lawfully, including obtaining any consent required and honouring their requests. Jawbly processes this data on your behalf.

Data we obtain through the WhatsApp Business Platform and Meta APIs is used only to provide the service to you, and is handled in accordance with Meta’s Platform Terms and Developer Policies.

Data retention

We keep data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. Conversation and business data are retained while you use Jawbly and for a reasonable period afterward, unless you ask us to delete it sooner.

We may retain limited records where required for legal, accounting or security reasons.

Deleting your data

You can delete your data at any time. Remove contacts, conversations, orders and records directly in the dashboard, or close your account from Settings to remove your workspace and its data.

You can also email support@jawbly.com with the subject “Delete my data”. Once we verify your request, we delete your personal data from our live systems within 30 days and confirm when it’s done, except for limited records we must keep for legal reasons. Full steps are on our Data Deletion page.

Security

We use technical and organisational measures to protect data, including encryption in transit, access controls, and isolation between businesses so one account cannot access another’s data.

No system is perfectly secure, but we work continuously to protect the information you entrust to us.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing.

You can manage much of your data directly in the dashboard. For anything else, contact us and we will respond within a reasonable time.

International transfers

Jawbly and our providers may process data in countries other than yours. Where we transfer data internationally, we take steps to ensure it remains protected in line with applicable law.

Children

Jawbly is intended for businesses and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the dashboard or by email.
